Sustainable Energy Alliance (SEA)

Sustainable Energy Alliance (SEA) was founded in May 2005 and is based in North Wales. It is a coalition of environmentalists who believe that the threats of climate change are so serious that renewable forms of energy and especially that of wind power, should be adopted as soon as possible. The environmental group believe that wind power, both on and offshore , must and will play a key role in our energy mix, along with other renewables, decentralised energy and energy efficiency. SEA has a ant… Continue

Welcome

"We are not going to be able to operate our Spaceship Earth successfully nor for much longer unless we see it as a whole spaceship and our fate as common. It has to be everybody or nobody. "

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

"Whenever I draw a circle, I immediately want to step out of it."

"You must choose between making money and making sense. The two are mutually exclusive."

"We are blessed with technology that would be indescribable to our forefathers. We have the wherewithal, the know-it-all to feed everybody, clothe everybody, and give every human on Earth a chance. We know now what we could never have known before--that we now have the option for all humanity to make it successfully on this planet in this lifetime. Whether it is to be Utopia or Oblivion will be a touch-and-go relay race right up to the final moment."

Hey Airplotters,

Exciting things are afoot.

We're busy preparing the next phase of the Airplot, which will begin with a chilled-out, spring-themed launch event at the end of April, with a very exciting celebrity guest host.

It's amazing that we have 41,875 Airplotters signed up, but unfortunately that means there isn't room to invite all of you!

If you'd like a chance to come along for a nice day on the plot, here's what you have to do:

We'd like you to take a photo of yourself holding a sign saying ' I'm an Airplotter' in the most imaginative 'green space' you can think of. Whether that's a field, a forest, your bathroom or maybe Greenland, (if you can get there without flying) - surprise us.

Then, get it to us in one of two ways...

If you're on Facebook, add your photo to the photos for our 'Secret Airplot Spring Event' in the Airplot: Join the Plot to Stop Airport Expansion group.

If you're not on Facebook, upload your photo to the photo sharing website Flickr, and 'tag' it with the word airplotter. We'll grab all the photos tagged with that word. (If you don't have an account, you can sign up for one on hte Flickr homepage - it's free.) Make sure your photo is publicly visible, that you 'tag' it with the word airplotter, and that we can download it.

We'll need to receive your photos by the 22nd April, so you've got two weeks...

Our judges will pick the most imaginative photographers to come along to the very exciting launch day. We'll show you around, introduce you to the Airplot team, and you'll get to meet our top-secret celebrity guest host. You'll need to be able to get to London, and to have some time free in the week beginning the 27th April. If you can't make it this time, don't worry, there will be lots of other opportunities to get involved as the Airplot unfolds.

We're going to take all of the photos we get and use them in a snazzy video to show the government and BAA some of the many people who oppose the expansion of the airport.

Looking forward to seeing your photos... And we'll be in touch to let you know how it all goes.
